A motivating instructor with advance training in Vinyasa Yoga along with specialized Baptiste Power principles of yoga, Rachel Eckels enjoys inspiring others to improve their commitment in long-term mind, body and soul wellness, through their yoga practice. Through asana (poses), breath and meditation, Rachel's intention is for one to go inward, release what does not serve them any longer and connect with their inner warrior. Creating self Joy, Passion and Power, is her mission.
Rachel’s yoga practice began in 2006 at the YMCA in New York City. She knew once off the mat, that would not be her last class. She fell in love with how yoga made her feel during and after practice; stronger, flexible, joyful, confident and compassionate toward others and self. After practicing for several years, she decided in 2014 to complete teacher training at Embrace Yoga Studio in Washington, DC and became a certified teacher, through Yoga Alliance.
Rachel has taught in Corporate settings, Government agencies, (SEC, DHS, DCPR,DOJ, & DOD) and yoga for children and young adults. She also has private clients throughout the District and Northern Virginia. In addition, Rachel has over 15 years of experience as a project manager, working in major industries such as banking, educational institutions and the federal government.
